If you’re an American, you have it easy; films come out, stay in the cinema for a couple of weeks, and they’re given ridiculous age certificates meaning you can enjoy any film regardless of your age. Some people aren’t quite so privileged.

Connor Beaton’s Zombieland review

Shaun of the Dead has already proven to us that there is comedy in the zombie apocalypse, and Zombieland is perhaps an even better example of such. Opting for the fast “Infected” zombies, the film sees Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin take on the roles of four survivors of the human apocalypse.

The Hangover

Usually I need a dose of drama in a film to make me care about the comedy, but every once in a while I see a comedy film that really steps above the rest and manages to deliver some witty lines and situations without injecting any big dramatic elements. The Hangover is definitely a step above most pure comedies.
